RCC Drops Final Regular-Season Road Game

No. 7-ranked Riverside City College closed out the regular season on Friday, dropping a 9-4 loss to Fullerton College on the road.
The Tigers slip to 29-11 overall and close out the Orange Empire Conference in second place at 15-6. The Hornets finish the regular season with a 21-19, 8-13 mark.
Gavin Egan led RCC with a 4-for-4 performance at the plate, while Luis Sosa went 2-for-4.
Fullerton took an early lead in the bottom of the second, but Riverside answered right back off a sacrifice fly from Aiden Erlandsen. The Hornets took back their lead and every time the Tigers tried to keep pace, Fullerton had a response to seal the 9-4 victory.
Riverside waits to find out its playoff fate, with the first round of the 3C2A Regional taking place next weekend, starting on Friday.
