No. 2-ranked Riverside City College suffered its first loss of the season in a 6-2 defeat on the road at San Diego Mesa College on Friday afternoon.
The Tigers drop to 7-1 overall, while the Olympians improve to 2-6 on the year.
Johnny Alley led the Tigers with a 3-for-4 performance at the plate, while Aiden Erlandsen went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Noah Haros (1-for-3) and Dean Loyd (1-for-2) also had hits for RCC.
Riverside looks to bounce back on the road, taking on No. 22-ranked Grossmont College for the second time in three days. The two ranked foes square off at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
