Brown Named OEC Athlete of the Week

Riverside City College's Nyah Brown was named the Orange Empire Conference Female Athlete of the Week last week.

The sophomore thrower set a new shot put meet record at the Mangrum Invitational with a 13.17 meter mark. It broke the previous meet record set in 2023 by .16 meters and was good for first place in the event.

Brown and the rest of the Tigers head to the Mt. San Antonio College Invite on Saturday before turning their focus to the postseason next week.
