RCC Sees Wins at Redlands Invite
Riverside City College competed at the Redlands Invite on Friday and saw some strong finishes.
Kaycia Carridice won the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.91 seconds, while Sara Brittin also finished in the top 10 (12.48 seconds). Carridice also took fifth in the 200-meter dash, clocking in at 25.05 seconds, and Skye Williams grabbed seventh (25.20 seconds).
Brittin posted the second-best javelin throw finish with a mark of 37.87 meters. Her sister Stephanie Brittin took seventh in the triple jump with a mark of 10.88 meters.
Nyah Brown grabbed fourth in the shot put with a mark of 13.09 meters. Victoria Redd followed in sixth place with a toss of 11.84 meters, and Nyeta Urquides finished in eighth (11.06 meters).
Redd also took fifth in the discus with a mark of 41.80 meters, followed by Skylar Svidergol in sixth (39.92 meters).
Tiana Burgess grabbed eighth in the long jump with a mark of 5.30 meters, while Beau Hocking finished fifth in the high jump with a mark of 1.55 meters.
The Tigers' 4x100 relay team won in 46.65 seconds.
RCC heads to the Mangrum Invite next Friday, hosted by Cal State San Marcos.
