Riverside Faces Tough Competition at Ben Brown Invite
Riverside City College took on tough, four-year competition at the Ben Brown Invitational, hosted by Cal State Fullerton, on Thursday and Friday.
Sara Brittin picked up sixth place in the javelin, tossing 30.37 meters. Madyson Esqueda also finished in the top 10 with a mark of 28.30 meters.
Beau Hocking grabbed sixth in the high jump, hitting 1.56 meters.
Victoria Redd posted the 11th-best throw in the discus with a toss of 42.65 meters.
Tiana Burgess and Kierstin Marpaung took eighth and ninth in the triple jump with respective marks of 11.41 and 11.32 meters. Burgess also took 12th in the long jump with a mark of 5.22 meters.
The Tigers' 4x400 relay team took ninth with a time of three minutes, 56.44 seconds.
Riverside heads to the Redlands Invite next week on Friday.
