RCC Competes at the Redlands Invite
Riverside City College competed at the Redlands Invite on Friday and saw more top-five finishes.
Alex Wesolowski grabbed a runner-up finish in the 1500-meter run with a time of three minutes, 59.57 seconds, while Anthony Silva took fourth in 4:01.23. Wesolowski also took fourth in the 3K, clocking in at 8:58.90, while Martin Sandoval was right behind him by half a second to take fifth (8:59.41).
Dyeem Tolbert had the second-fastest time in the 3K steeplechase with a time of 10:32.58, while Dillon Burhop grabbed fourth with a time of 11:07.38.
Sandoval also took third in the 800-meter race, posting a time of 1:55.92.
Aden Johnson took fourth in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.90 seconds.
The 4x100 meter relay team took fourth overall in 41.12 seconds, while the 4x400 relay team finished third with a time of 3:21.96.
Joseph Garcia and Omar Sanchez went second and third in the discus, with respective throws of 47.64 and 47.60 meters. Sanchez also took second in the shot put with a mark of 15.38 meters, while Damion Ortiz finished fourth with a toss of 15.09 meters.
The Tigers head to the Mangrum Invite next Friday, hosted by Cal State San Marcos.
