Tigers Battle Bobcats and Lasers
Riverside City College took on Saddleback College and Irvine Valley College on Friday but fell in both matches.
The Tigers (2-16, 1-6 in the Orange Empire Conference) fell 4-1 to the Bobcats (6-5, 6-1 OEC) and dropped a close 3-2 match to the host Lasers (3-14, 3-4 OEC).
Karina Watts and Jessica Lopez picked up the lone Riverside win against Saddleback, beating their opponent 21-19 and 21-14.
The duo also grabbed a win against IVC, downing their opponents 21-17 and 21-4.
Savannah Smith and Eunice Castro also grabbed a win against the Lasers, defeating their competition 21-13 and 21-18.
RCC heads to Cypress College next Friday before making its return home April 3.
