RCC Drops Two Matches at Home

Riverside City College hosted Mt. San Jacinto College and Rio Hondo College on Friday, dropping both matches 4-1.

The Tigers slip to 1-9 on the year, while the Eagles sit at 4-9 and the Roadrunners move to 2-3 overall.

Savannah Smith and Danna De Leon picked up the win in the match against Rio Hondo, grabbing a 2-0 win. The pair posted a 21-12 victory in the first set and followed with a 21-16 win in the second.

Sienna Veum and Jessica Lopez won in the match against the Eagles, also posting a 2-0 victory. The duo grabbed back-to-back 21-19 wins to take the match.

RCC heads to Rosie's Dog Beach on Friday for another pair of games, taking on Palomar College and Orange Empire Conference opponent Cypress College.
