Wasserman Leads Tigers at Second OEC Tournament
Riverside City College showed improvement at its second Orange Empire Conference tournament of the year, hosted by Mt. San Jacinto College at the Soboba Springs Golf Course.
The Tigers finished with a 314 to take fifth overall and were just two strokes behind the host Eagles in fourth. College of the Desert won its second event with an even-par 288.
Jack Wasserman led Riverside with a one-under 71, shaving seven strokes off his score from Monday to take fifth overall. Ashton Spaulding carded a 77, while Rigo Navarro posted an 81. Michael Viene rounded out the scorers with an 85.
Elijah Gonzales and Ian Kim finished with 86 and 89 scores, respectively.
The Tigers look to keep building momentum as they head to Orange County College's home course, Costa Mesa CC, on Monday for an 11 a.m. tee time.
