Tigers Win OEC Championship
Riverside City College won the Orange Empire Conference Championship Saturday after finishing with 808 points. Orange Coast College followed with 628 points, and Golden West College took third with 570 points.
Head coach Doug Finfrock was named the OEC Women's Swimming and Diving Coach of the Year, while Emily Parker and Kate Simmons were named OEC Co-Divers of the Meet.
Isadora Taylor took second in the 1650-yard free, touching the wall in 19 minutes, 10.60 seconds to beat out third place by two seconds.
Kaia Boone finished runner-up in the 100-yard individual medley, posting a time of 1:03.31.
Ashlyn Allen grabbed second in the 200-yard breaststroke after clocking in at 2:35.83.
Isabella Stolpp and Madison Faulker went third and fourth, respectively, in the 100-yard free. Stolpp finished in 56.69 seconds, while Faulkner followed in 57.09 seconds.
Taylor also took fourth in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:28.52. Marianna Smith followed in fifth (2:47.30), Kailin Stumpf took sixth (2:47.71), and Angelina Beall followed in seventh (2:51.40).
Keira Casey grabbed fifth in the 200-yard backstroke, clocking in at 2:26.95.
The Tigers' 400-yard free relay team took second with a time of 3:45.87 to close out the meet.
RCC gets a few weeks to recover before heading back to Orange Coast College for the 3C2A State Championship on April 30.
