Tigers Win Second OEC Meet
Riverside City College won its second Orange Empire Conference meet of the year with 619 points. Golden West took second with 445 points, while Orange Coast College was just seven points behind in third.
Isadora Taylor won the 1650-yard freestyle and almost broke 20 minutes, touching the wall in 20:05.80 – more than 90 seconds faster than the second-place finisher.
Taylor led a group of Tigers in the 200-yard butterfly, taking third with a time of 2:34.00. Audra Lacey followed in fourth (2:46.44), while Angelina Beall took fifth in 2:57.75.
Kate Simmons won the 1-meter diving board with a dive of 188.33 points, while Emily Parker took third with 161.40 points.
Isabella Stolpp boasted the second-best time in the 100-yard free (57.38) and grabbed third in the 50-yard free in 26.03 seconds, while Brianna Hoover followed in fifth place with a time of 26.83 seconds. Stolpp also took fourth in the 200-yard free (2:11.79), while Madison Faulkner was right behind in fifth (2:13.57).
Kailin Stumpf finished third in the 400-yard individual medley, touching the wall in 5:48.51.
Kaia Boone grabbed third in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:12.59 and took fourth in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:25.74. Boone also finished third in the 200-yard breast (2:40.99).
Keira Casey and Lacey each finished in the top five of the 100-yard backstroke, with Casey taking third in 1:08.96 and Lacey posting a time of 1:11.08. Casey also took fourth in the 200-yard back with a time of 2:30.53. Lacey finished third in the 500-yard freestyle, clocking in at 5:50.72.
Riverside heads to Mt. San Antonio College on April 3 for the Last Chance Invite before the postseason begins the next week.
