Riverside Qualifies for 3C2A State Championship

Results

Riverside City College qualified for the 3C2A State Championship with a 10th-place finish at the SoCal Championship on Friday.

The Tigers finished with 276 points, just one point behind Long Beach City College.

Lorena Munoz led Riverside with a time of 19 minutes, 59.1 seconds to place in the top 30. Celeste Mendoza wasn't far behind in 20:25.3, followed by Caitlyn Brody's time of 20:44.9. Jessica Munoz clocked in at 21:57.4 and Audianna Salgado posted a time of 22:34.2 as the Tigers' fifth finisher. Valerie Serrano (23:43.4) and Evangeline Ibarra (25:04.8) rounded out the scorers for RCC.

The State Championship takes place Nov. 22 at Woodward Park in Fresno, Calif.
