Women’s Tennis Defeats Cypress, 8-1

The Riverside City College women's tennis team continued Orange Empire Conference (OEC) action on Tuesday afternoon against the Cypress College Chargers on the road. Riverside was electric on the courts by nearing a sweep and hauling in an 8-1 victory for their third conference victory of the season.

Freshman Heather Graf (Yucaipa, CA) earned a pair of victories on the day with one coming at the number two singles by the final count of 6-3, 6-0. She teamed up with freshman Emilia Lopez (Norco, CA) earlier in the day and earned a victory at the number one doubles with the final score of 8-5.

Sophomore Autumn Keay (Running Springs, CA) earned a two-set win as they number three by the final scores of 6-1, 6-3. Freshman Jolene Baeulieu (Riverside, CA) followed with a victory at the number four singles with a count of 6-3, 6-0.

The Tigers (8-3, 3-1 OEC) will continue conference play on Thursday, March 8th at home against the Irvine Valley College Lasers (6-2, 2-1 OEC) at 2 p.m.
