Women’s Tennis Defeats Bakersfield, 6-3

The Riverside City College women's tennis team hit its home courts on Tuesday in a match against the Bakersfield College Renegades. It was a tough battle through the singles with an even split, but Riverside dominated the doubles en route to a 6-3 win.

Freshman tandem Heather Graf (Yucaipa, CA) and Emilia Lopez (Norco, CA) had a strong day by teaming up and taking town Bakersfield's top doubles team, 3-2, after they retired from injury. Additionally, Graf was handed a victory due to injury in her singles match, while Lopez cruised to an easy 6-0, 6-0 victory in her singles match.

Sophomore tandem Ellia Rosado (Riverside, CA) and Autumn Keay (Running Springs, CA) cruised to an 8-2 victory, while freshman Jolene Beaulieu (Riverside, CA) and freshman Madison Eason (Riverside, CA) earned an 8-0 doubles win.

The Tigers (3-0) will host Mt. San Jacinto College on Thursday, February 1st at 2 p.m. for a non-conference battle.
