Tigers Bow Out of Team Playoff

Match Notes:

•  RCC (#4 seed) goes down in the Southern California Semifinals in a hard fought match with Western States Conference Champions Ventura College (#1 seed).
•  The playoff format played doubles first. The Tigers struggled at #2 and #3 doubles but battled to a great victory at the #1 spot, keeping the team alive but trailing 1-2 going into singles.
•  The doubles tandem of Jordan Gobatie and Danny Garcia took the doubles point from the previously unbeaten #1 ranked doubles team of Cameron Lee and Vitor Mendes.
•  RCC went up a set on #3 and #6 but dropped the first set on #1, #2, #4, and #5. With three matches still in the balance, the Tigers were not able to bounce back at #1, #2, and #5 and the match was decided. The remaining matches were unfinished. 
•  RCC now prepared for the Ojai Regional and State Championships in singles and doubles. Competing in singles will be #5 Jordan Gobatie, #16 Danny Garcia, #21 Aliaksandr Pesniak, and Ulises Banos. Competing in doubles will be #2 Gobatie/Garcia, Pesniak/Banos, and Eliott Moreno/Colten Douglass.
