Medure, Capraro Honored at Riverside Sports Hall of Fame

Riverside City College's Juliana Capraro and Luke Medure were honored by the Riverside Sport Hall of Fame on Monday as student-athletes who fully embody the Tigers.

Capraro, a sophomore from Riverside, has been a steady constant for the RCC women's tennis team over the past two years. She made back-to-back 3C2A State Championship appearances, including advancing to this year's quarterfinals with her sister Angelina, who she was named the 2026 Orange Empire Conference Doubles Team of the Year.

Over the past two years, Capraro has grabbed 17 singles victories and 25 doubles wins. She is a two-time All-OEC honoree and last year helped the Tigers win the Orange Empire Conference Championship for the second-straight year.

Capraro is a business administration major and boasts a 3.831 GPA, with plans to transfer to Cal State San Bernardino before pursuing a career in business with a housing developer. She was named to the first-ever RCC Scholar Squad and was an Intercollegiate Tennis Association Scholar-Athlete last year.

Medure, a sophomore from Riverside, has been a key member of the Tiger baseball team as an outfielder. Over his two years with RCC, Medure has appeared in 68 games and committed just one error in the outfield, boasting a .985 career fielding percentage.

Offensively, the Riverside Poly High grad has 208 at-bats, cumulating in 66 hits, including 15 doubles, three triples, and one home run. He has scored 45 runs and batted in 49 RBIs during his career, helping the Tigers make back-to-back 3C2A State SoCal Regional appearances.

Medure has not decided on his next school yet, but boasts a 3.865 GPA as a business administration major and is set to graduate in June.

The two were honored with other top athletes from the three four-year universities and 15 high schools in Riverside.
