Tigers Split Final Pair of Home Matches; Conclude Regular Season Next Friday

SAN BERNARDINO -- Splitting a pair of Orange Empire Conference (OEC) home matches, the Riverside City College (RCC) Tigers women's beach volleyball team defeated the Fullerton College (FC) Hornets, 5-0, but lost, 2-3, to the Cypress College Chargers Friday afternoon (Apr. 14).

Riverside City (7-7 overall, 3-2 OEC) was paced by its No. 1 tandem of sophomore Marissa Vialpando and sophomore Lauren Wells, which won both of its matches.

RCC is guided by second-year RCC co-associate head women's beach volleyball coaches Monica Hayes-Trainer and Jamie Hofman.

The Tigers will next play on Friday, Apr. 21, when they visit the Newland Courts at Huntington State Beach in Huntington Beach for a pair of OEC regular season matches against the Orange Coast College (OCC) Pirates and the Santa Ana College (SAC) Dons.
